For most it is no surprise that today is Valentines Day-  Our holiday of love, or is it?  As a Hippy I don’t buy into the commercialism of any holidays.  This probably leaves you wondering what do I do for Valentines Day?  Well, not a whole lot.  The husband and I will have a quite candle light dinner after the children go to bed.  I in no way expect or even want any gifts.  I have enough jewelry and cut flowers seem like such a waste (they will just die in a few days).  It is never the tangible item I seek: but rather the experience.  A quiet dinner with my husband will bring me more joy and happiness than a ring ever could.  Today, enjoy the love of your life and celebrate together.
